Will the IOC stop accepting fossil fuel sponsors?

With the winter Olympics starting, there has been complaints that ENI, one of the world's seven biggest oil companies, is a 'premium partner' of the 2026 Winter Olympics. It is predicted that due to climate change in the near future there will be only 10 countries even able to host the winter Olympics.

After a petition was delivered to the IOC, signed by numerous athletes, the ​IOC president Kirsty Coventry says it must "be better" on climate change, the petition was signed by more than 21,000 people who want to stop fossil fuel companies from sponsoring winter sports.
