Rapidly growing ESG software business with it’s own consultancy arm is seeking a Sustainability Practice Lead to be based in London and help develop their expansion.

Reporting into a Co-Founder you will work across the business leading the ESG reporting consultancy practice and supporting the development strategy of their ESG platform. You will oversee client accounts, manage workflows, deliver projects and build relationships with clients.

Key duties will include:

  • Lead the consultancy practice, managing, growing and motivating the team.

  • Develop their service offering / proposition and ensure delivery is in line with climate regulations.

  • Actively engage and advise clients to support the measurement, monitoring and reduction of GHG emissions.

  • Support the software platforms product development by offering enhancement ideas.

  • Strategic analysis of ESG opportunities relevant to each client’s business model.

  • Board and C-suite advisory and stakeholder management.

  • KPI and target selection.

  • Supporting business development by delivering pitches, supporting marketing with research, articles and attending conferences.


Candidates MUST have:

  • Proven experience with GHG accounting principles, covering scopes 1-3 and SBTi guidelines.

  • Experience of ESG reporting frameworks such as SECR and TCFD.

  • Good track record within sustainability, either at a consultancy; OR in-house corporate sustainability department with a focus on corporate ESG strategy and reporting.

  • Good client facing skills, including presenting and stakeholder management.

  • Experience managing or leading small teams, in a project delivery or line management capacity.


Desirable are:

  • Experience working with ESG software.

  • Experience of planning and implementing net zero decarbonisation strategies.

  • Understanding of data analysis, data modelling and associated methodologies.

  • Exposure to LCA databases or tools, e.g. GaBi, Ecoinvent, OpenLCA or SimaPro.

  • Experience with The FLAG reporting framework.

  • Experience delivering in the consumer services or Food & Beverage (F&B) sectors.
