A global, property business is seeking a Decarbonisation Lead, to deliver technical analysis, financial modelling and decarbonisation strategies for sustainability projects in the built environment; you can be based anywhere in the UK, but commutable to London is ideal.
Reporting into the Director of Engineering & Design, with a focus on leading the planning of the decarbonisation projects to ensure technical and commercial viability of the strategy; you will support clients with their net zero targets, maximise energy efficiency and renewable energy options, secure grant funding and define project scope.
Duties will include:
Lead development of decarbonisation project planning for a range of public and private sector clients, including local authorities, social housing associations, healthcare and commercial organisations.
Produce financial and technical feasibility assessments, covering technologies such as district heating networks, heat pumps, solar PV, HVAC and BMS.
Support funding applications, such as GHEF, PSDS, Warmer Homes etc…
Technical leadership, covering design and development, maximisation of building performance and physics, plus of in-house modelling tools for energy forecasting.
Present technical and financial planning to clients and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives.
Lead cross-functional collaboration between all teams.
Candidates MUST have:
Proven track record in a similar role developing decarbonisation solutions for real estate projects.
Understanding of energy policy, planning and funding mechanisms.
Experience of modelling or simulation software, e.g. Energy Pro, PVsol, Termis, NEMO, Netism, Bluebeam or Excel modelling.
Demonstrable experience in securing funding for decarbonisation initiatives.
Strong experience of renewable heat networks, building energy systems and low carbon infrastructure.
Desirable are:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
CIBSE CP01, PAS 2035, MCS certification or other energy efficiency standards.
