An exciting, UK green energy business is seeking an EHSQ Manager, they are based across Northeast England, with key sites in Newcastle and Sheffield.

Reporting into the Head of EHSQ you will be responsible for providing support, advise and ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation and quality standards across the business. This is a industrial, manufacturing business and therefore a key duty will be driving safety culture and improving standards nationally.

Duties include:

  • Conducting risk assessments, ensuring all health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures are up to date and in place.

  • Undertake internal audits for ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards.

  • Promote an inclusive and positive culture for ESHQ across the company, helping to embed policies and H&S practices.

  • Work on accident investigations and provide corrective actions, working toward continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and review EHSQ systems, health & safety policies and procedures to ensure they remain in line with legislation, recommending changes where necessary.

  • Deliver training to staff and stakeholders on H&S.


Candidates MUST have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing, renewable energy, engineering, utilities or chemical industries.

  • Experience embedding SHEQ systems and procedures, providing Heath & Safety, Environmental Manager and Quality Assurance.

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

  • Good ISO auditing experience of ISO45001, ISO14001 AND ISO9001.

  • UK Driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites.


Desirable are:

  • Experience of process safety techniques such as HAZID, HAZOP & LOPA.

  • Ability to work on independently and cover for the Head of ESHQ as required.
