A leading recycling business is seeking a Sustainability Consultant to be based in their central London office.
Reporting into the Head of Sustainability, you will work with a portfolio of clients assisting in the delivery of their sustainability projects, net zero strategy, provide reporting, data analysis of recycling and waste, enhance engagement and waste management.
Duties will include:
Develop tailored sustainability roadmaps for clients, outlining clear, actionable steps to enhance their waste management performance and meet long-term goals.
Deliver on-site initiatives, such as waste audits and training, aimed at improving waste management practices, increasing recycling rates, and reducing contamination.
Lead engagement efforts to raise awareness of recycling processes among key stakeholder groups, including customers, domestic teams, and catering staff.
Analyse waste and recycling data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancing recycling performance and transport logistics.
Support the research and implementation of innovative sustainability projects that deliver value to both us and our clients.
Collaborate within our Net Zero working group to design and implement strategies that drive progress towards the company’s Net Zero objectives.
Candidate MUST have:
Experience delivering reports and projects on time within a commercial environment.
Passion for sustainability.
Understanding of environmental principles, plus a willingness to learn and develop your sustainability knowledge.
Experience in customer-facing roles, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational abilities, including managing off-site work, maintaining an up-to-date calendar, and effectively prioritising tasks.
Desirable are:
Relevant sustainability qualifications.
Sustainability or Esg reporting and data analysis experience.
Experience in a consultancy or waste management business.
